Decyl Glucoside is a mild, non-ionic surfactant belonging to the family of alkyl polyglucosides (APGs). It is produced by the condensation of natural fatty alcohols (C8–C16 chain length, primarily derived from coconut or palm kernel oil) with glucose obtained from corn starch.
This combination makes Decyl Glucoside a biodegradable, plant-derived, and eco-friendly surfactant widely used in personal care and household cleaning products.
