Squalane  is a stable, saturated hydrocarbon oil derived from hydrogenation of squalene, which can be obtained from plant sources such as olives, sugarcane, or rice bran. It is widely used in cosmetic and personal care formulations due to its excellent moisturizing properties, lightweight texture, and high skin compatibility. Squalane closely mimics the skin’s natural sebum, making it highly effective for improving skin hydration and softness without leaving a greasy residue.
