Natural Betaine, also known as Trimethylglycine (TMG), is an amino acid–derived humectant commonly used in cosmetics, personal care products, and hair care formulations. It is typically sourced from sugar beets, coconut, or other natural plants, making it a natural, biodegradable, and skin-friendly ingredient.
Natural Betaine helps retain moisture, protect skin and hair, and reduce irritation from surfactants, making it ideal for sensitive skin, dry hair, and baby care products. It also enhances foam quality and viscosity in cleansing formulations.
