Copper Tripeptide-2 is a bioactive copper–peptide complex formed by the tripeptide Lysyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine (LHK) bound with a copper ion (Cu²⁺). In cosmetic formulations, it functions as a skin-conditioning and anti-aging ingredient.
This peptide complex helps support skin firmness and elasticity by stimulating biological processes involved in collagen and elastin maintenance. It is also known for helping improve skin density and structural integrity, which may reduce the appearance of sagging skin and wrinkles.
Copper Tripeptide-2 also has antioxidant and protective properties, helping defend the skin against environmental stress and free radical damage. Because of these benefits, it is frequently used in firming, anti-aging, and skin-repair skincare products.
