Behentrimonium Methosulfate 50 (BTMS-50) is a highly concentrated cationic surfactant and conditioning agent derived from rapeseed oil. It is widely used in hair care formulations such as conditioners, hair masks, leave-in treatments, and styling creams.
BTMS-50 functions as a mild emulsifier and excellent hair conditioner, providing detangling, softness, anti-static properties, and manageability. The “50” indicates that it is typically supplied as a 50% active solution, which allows formulators to achieve the same conditioning effect with less product compared to BTMS-25.
