Acrylic polymer emulsions (also referred to as acrylic resins) are waterborne dispersions of acrylic or methacrylic monomers that are polymerized to form stable colloidal particles. These emulsions are widely used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, nonwovens, and construction materials because of their durability, transparency, UV resistance, and versatility in formulation.
Being water-based, they are considered more environmentally friendly compared to solvent-borne resins, offering low VOC levels, excellent film-forming properties, and superior adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
Applications
Adhesive primer for plastic surfaces
Adhesive primer for glass surfaces
Adhesive primer for metal surfaces
Adhesion enhancer for rubber and composite materials
Surface treatment before applying silicone or hybrid sealants
Acrylic Polymer Emulsion / Acrylic Resin
